Saturday, March 31

I spent most of the day at home working, first marking assignments and then organizing and listing expenses for the program, and finally beginning the process of fixing up and labelling the photographs from the fieldtrip.

When I went for a walk, I saw that one side of the cathedral plaza was occupied by families from Aguacatenango, all weaving palm leaf ornaments in preparation for Palm Sunday. I was particularly impressed at the family enterprise: men, women, boys and girls, all weaving intricate designs with the palm fronds. I even bought two of them.
