In class today we looked at the representation of narratives involving deities on Maya ceramics, focusing especially on the cosmogenesis/Maize regeneration narrative also discussed last term, but also discussing many narratives for which no explanations or related texts have surfaced.
The big fieldtrip assignment series was due today. A good number had their work in this morning but others trickled in during the day and evening, so I won't start marking them until tomorrow. I am also working on arrangements for our day trip to Amatenango scheduled for April 10.
