I would appreciate it if each of you would use the comment function to post your date and time of arrival at the Tuxtla Gutierrez airport (if you are coming that way). Then I would know when to expect you and it might also be possible for some of you to meet up and share the ride into San Cristobal.
When you have made reservations on a place to stay, it might also be good to post this.

I've been doing some research...for those of you that are interested there are lots of options for busing from Tuxtla Gutierrez to San Cristobal. It's cheap and then you wouldn't have to worry about trying to coordinate rides. Alica and I are planning on flying into Tuxtla Gutierrez sometime between the 27th and 29th. I think we are going to coordinate our flight with Andres as well. Once we've booked our tickets we'll post the info.

I was actually considering taking the bus all the way from D.F. to Chiapas, but that is such a long ride going trough Oaxaca that i don't want to risk it, so I will fly. No dates yet, the bookings are not confirmed. Talk soon! Thanks Marv for setting up the blog, looking good!
I've booked my flight. I am set to arrive at Tuxtla on January 28th at 8:00pm. I have already coordinated a driver through the apartment complex that I am booked to stay in. I have found that booking ahead has its benefits, they've organized a driver to pick me up for around US$45 from Tuxtla.

I've booked my flight, I'm going from Toronto (since I'll be there for the holidays) to Cancun on Jan 22. I plan to visit some friends in Cancun and Merida and then I'll take the bus to San Cristobal and be there the 28th or 29th of Jan.

I am sorry I've taken so long to post my first comment, I have to admit I am very computer illiterate. Some of you may not know I will be arriving late to the Lasom exchange because I am auditioning for the theatre program at UBC in February. I arrive in Mexico City on the 26th of February. On the 27th I will be flying to Tuxtla and then busing to San Cristobal. I am very sad that I will be missing the beginning of the exchange, but I am happy that when I arrive you will all have your first adventure stories to tell me. Im leaving on Sunday, but wont be arriving in Chiapas until the 28th or 29th. I think most people are going through Tuxtla, but Heather we should keep in touch since were both coming through Cancun..and anyone else coming that way...

I'm arriving in Mexico City on January 24th, and will be booking a flight from there to Tuxtla on that day (although I haven't booked it yet). So, I should hopefully arrive in San Cristobal on the 24th as well...and then I'll be looking for a place to stay.

I am flying to Guadalajara on Wed. January 17th. Alica and I are going to beach it for a week and a bit :), then we are going to fly to meet Andres on the 27th or 28th in Mexico city. All of us are going to fly from Toluca to Tuxtla on Jan. 29th - the interjet evening flight. As far as I know the flights haven't been booked but unless something changes drastically that's the plan. Hello All,
I am already in Papantla Veracruz. I will be arriving in San C around 27 or 28. I also will be looking for a place to stay when I arrive so if anyone is interested in finding a place together or at the very least house hunting together...let me know. I will be looking for a place with a kitchen or kitchenette for the option of home cooked meals and I am looking for as much spanish immersion as possible.
